Doris: Your blog can be deleted, at least to the extent that Google deletes anything. How to do it depends upon whether your Blogger account is using the new look or the older look. Here's what to do.

1. Go to your dashboard, where your various blogs are listed. In the entry for this blog, click on the "Settings" link. On the resulting screen, you'll see a "Delete blog" link in the very top Blog Tools box area.
2. If you don't see that "Delete blog" link, then you're probably using the newer interface. Click on the gear icon in the top right corner of your screen, and select "Old Blogger interface." That will put you into the old look, and you can do step 1 above.
Understand that Google does not wipe your blog content off its servers when you delete a blog. It makes it unreachable in searches, but the content remains "out there" for quite a long time before it finally fades into true oblivion. If that's a concern to you, you should consider deleting every post individually so that the blog is just an empty "stub," and then deleting the blog as described above.
